The Capricorn District Command Council has welcomed the success of the Vooma vaccination campaign which took place over the weekend.
The campaign was led by Minister Thoko Didiza who was joined by Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo in and around the City to encourage people to get the jab and as a result, 4,349 people rose to the occasion and responded to the call. This means that thousands more people are now on the road to being safe.
In reflecting on the campaign, Minister appreciated the efforts of all those who went out this weekend to get vaccinated, and called on everyone else to join the fight. The DCC applauded healthcare workers who continue to go the extra mile in this drive. Minister Didiza called on traditional leaders and churches to be ambassadors and encourage their people to get vaccinated. The DCC therefore calls on those who are 18 years and older to visit any site for vaccination.
